Board Game Night – First of 2016!

For our first Board Game Night of 2016 – in our brand new space, we’re breaking with tradition and featuring three new games for our next meetup!

The three games we’ve selected are all Spiel de Jahres winners and are great gateway games for those interested in modern or european style board games.

As they’ve each been previously featured on Geek & Sundry’s TableTop with Wil Wheaton, you can watch episodes in advance to see how the games are played and just how fun they are!

Of course as usual, you can still come along with any board or card game of your own you want to play with others.

So join us to play games on Friday 5th of February from 6:30pm in Tog’s new home in 22 Blackpitts, Dublin 8

Grand Opening Party

balloonsCome along on Saturday 30th January at 7PM to TOG’s Birthday party, January Open Social and Grand Opening Bash…… all rolled into one. We want to to make it our best party ever.

We moved from our old place in Chancery Lane in November. Now we’re up and running in our new space at 22 Blackpitts. Come in and catch up with us. We’ll give you a tour of our fantastic new space. Our very own brewers are promising TOG beer and other samples for you to try. Weather permitting, you might get to cook your own pizza on TOG’s very own pizza oven. Try your hand at some lock picking, but be warned…. it’s addictive. There’s some great project ideas in the works by some of our members….. making guitars, a dedicated brew room and another Art show to name but a few.

The space stays open until the last member is left……usually the small hours of Sunday morning. The open social is free to attend for members and visitors alike. Our doors will be open from 7pm. Drop in for 10 minutes, or stay the whole night. We have parking available. Bring beer, food, gadgets! Hope to see you there.

UPDATE: As is tradition, our very own Schrodinger invites the world : New year, new space, new TOG. Let’s PARTY!!

UPDATE 2: Check out the story in Silicon Republic about us. Tog’s seventh birthday party a maker’s delight

Building Works Update

We have been transforming our new space over the last 6 weeks. We now have walls \o/ . Our plan is split over a number of phases, to start off with we are building rooms 1, 2, 3 and a kitchen as outlined in the drawing below.  Room 1 will be our new common room. This will be the most used room in the whole space and the centre of everything. Room 2 will be our new classroom. It will be bookable for special events and courses. Room 3 will be our fabrication room. It will hold things like our laser cutter , 3D printers and so on. Our kitchen will be at the front of the building getting natural light for enjoying a cup of tea.

We have now reopened to the public with our regular group nights, so drop by and check out our new space.
