We are off to Newcastle. \o/ . We are excited at being accepted to Maker Faire UK. This will be our 5th year showing casing at the event. Our April would just not be the same without it.
This year the plan is to showcase a constellation umbrella made by Robert along with other members projects. If you are in Newcastle be sure to stop by on the 1st or 2nd for a duck and hackerspace stamp.
So lots of changed in TOG over last 6 months and we are now in a new home, our next big event is upcoming Dublin Maker Saturday (23rd of July) to make a weekend of it we would like to invite all Makers and anyone that wants to see our new home to a BBQ on the Sunday 24th of July 2pm. There will be food, music and lots of fun.
Is a great opportunity to finally take a look around TOG, or to get to know our members better. It’s a chance for anyone, and everyone, to chill out with some interesting people, who do interesting things, while filling their bellies.
This event is sposnored by Dublin Maker.
Dublin Maker is Ireland’s biggest maker community showcase event. It gives a real opportunity for makers to excite and enthuse the general public about
the great making communities and their projects. This year it moves to Merrion Square to allow for even more making madness
The open call for this year’s Dublin Maker is now open to all inventors, makers, hackers and creators. Whether you have taken part before or still tinkering on something crafty, you can apply for a place at our biggest Dublin Maker yet.
Tog is proud to be a supporting organisations again this year. We have been involved in the running of the Dublin Maker since its first year, now almost 5 years ago. We see the event as the highlight of the maker calendar in Ireland.

We are delighted to have been accepted to showcase our projects at Maker Faire UK. Being the largest Maker Faire in the UK, its a huge gathering of all sorts of makers. We always have a great time talking to the public and seeing our fellow hackerspaces.
This will be our 4th year showing casing at the event. Last year we were trilled to find other Irish makers also there (Mint Tek). We hope this year will be no different.
This year we will be showing a range of wearables and a arduino powered panel clock. We are super proud that our project from last year is now featured on the Maker Faire UK home page. Can you tell which one it is ?
Can’t you feel the excitement in the air?! Dublin Maker is on this Saturday! From bitter experience we know that all the Makers will be at this entire week. And as we here at TOG are a caring bunch, we’ll be holding our traditional post-Dublin-Maker BBQ (now with added pizza!) on Sunday, 26th July, from 2pm-5pm.
It will be a chance for the Makers to unwind in an understanding and supportive environment. But it’s not just an event for official Dublin Makers! Now is a great opportunity to finally take a look around TOG, or to get to know our members better. It’s a chance for anyone, and everyone, to chill out with some interesting people, who do interesting things, while filling their bellies. So come one, come all, satisfy your curiosity, and your appetites!
