Air Marshmallow Gun

This was part of this months hackathon, to build a marshmallow shooter .

This weekends Hackathon went very well with us building a high powered marshmallow gun running off an air compressor and running through a 1″ pipe. Check out the video below for how it was built and to see it working.

21st Synchronous Hackathon

Mame cabinet is working well, got to put in 6 buttons and make up new face plate for it. But had our first few games today and worked quite well.

Dublin Synchronous Hackathon

As you may or may not know there is a Hackaton [1] this weekend starting on Saturday the 16th in Tog

Some projects we will be working on:

  1. Solar Heater [3] finishing off the insalation and hopefully mounting it on the roof.
  2. Mame cabinet buttons arriving tomorrow so should be done by Sunday
  3. Diy t-shirt printer all depending on parts arriving in time! if not lots else to do [4]

If anyone is around this weekend come along and give a hand or bring a project and work on it. Starts on Saturday around 12ish and goes on till when ever people get tired on Sunday.

Some other projects that people are working on, photo development lab, mobile applications, crafts check out website for more projects.

Hackathon Pallet bucket seat

This weekend we worked on a few project

This chair is made from a pallet, some foam & red velvet, check out insctructable for how we made it.


Working on a heat exchange for roof, it works off 350 cans painted black mounted on roof of TOG and then heat is pumped back into space. Will keep you up to date when we get further on with project main need is to fill up frame then take out bottom and top of cans.

Paddy’s Day Hackathon

Looking for an alternative way to spend St. Patrick’s day.? Let your creative side out and come along to our special Paddy’s Day hackathon. Why not add a little bit of green to your projects, a shamrock, a green LED or even a pint of the black stuff.

The hackathon will take place in our space on Thursday 17th of March, with our space open from about 11:00 to late in the evening. In the evening we’ll be having our regular Open Social Night.

The weekend of the 19th and 20th is also a Synchronous Hackathon weekend running each day from 11:00 to late. So we’ll be participating in the Global Hackerspace Challenge which will be announced within a week. Update: The challenge involves submiting an entry to the 555 Contest. We’re hoping for have a small 555 night on the Monday to introduce people to the wonders of 555 timer IC.

All the weekday events and hackathon are free, the workshops have a cost and the challenge might have a small materials cost/donation. All the events are targeted at adults and mature older teens.
