Crochet for not-quite beginners – Sat 17th August

So you started to crochet, but never quite got further than a square that turned into a triangle? This is the class for you. We’ll look at some further techniques, such as crochet in the round starting with a magic circle and stitches for decreasing.  During the class you’ll get a reminder of the basics, and then we’ll make a sphere, which combines increases with decreases and is a great starting point for making hats or amigurumi toys.

Craft Night with added Sugar

Hello again Crafters! It’s been a long year, many projects were started, a few even finished, and it’s always good to see your toil pay off. So we at tog reckon it’s time for a Craft Night reward. The next Craft Night (Tuesday, 13th) will be a special cookies and sugarcraft night! We’ll be baking cookies, icing them, and someone even mentioned hot chocolate 🙂

If that’s not your thing don’t worry, it will be a regular Craft Night too, just with added sugar-fueled giddiness from the kitchen! The sugary rewards are available to anyone on the night doing any craft. And it’s also the last Craft Night of the year (to begin again in January), so why not? Come along, have some fun 😀

Craft Night: A candle for Easter

Tomorrow is another craft night, and I have brought some egg-shaped candles that need decorating and new homes 🙂
They will be €1.50 each, and depending on you creativity it will take you 5 minutes to half an hour to finish your creation.

As always: You can bring your own craft project and work on that and just share some tea and conversation 🙂

Hope so see you there!
Meg

2011-04-17 Easter is coming!

Easter is coming up, and so is a really nice Easter workshop in TOG.

As some of you know, I moved to Austria two months ago. Since I’m coming for a visit next week, I decided to bring lots of nice things with me, to show you how we decorate for Easter back in Austria :).

The workshop will start by creating an Easter decoration from scratch, beginning with a raw piece of wood that needs to be grained and branches fresh from the tree that we will turn into a basket.

Once the hard woodwork is done, we’ll create chickens and butterflies out of wool and ribbons for the most colourful spring impression possible. There will also be plenty of flowers, pussy willows and lady bugs to complete our work of art.

To not leave our Easter basket empty, we will color and decorating eggs (that can still be eaten afterwards), as well as fill it with various chocolate goodies – a vital part of this holiday.

Fee: 15€ for non-members / 9€ for members (eggs and chocolate included)

Pretty and Bright – DIY Christmas Ornaments

This workshop is for the creative ones among you!
The use of scissors, glue and a soldering iron should not scare you, and the eagerness to try new things should be your second nature.
We will be working with paper, glitter pens, LED lights, resistors, wires and plastic spheres.

The fun will last the whole afternoon, and 15€ will cover all your material costs.
