St. Patrick’s day Hackathon

There is no better day for being Irish than the 17th of March ,  St. Patrick’s day. We at TOG in Dublin , Ireland , think the best way for us to celebrate the day is to host a special edition of the hackathon.

For this one day hackathon we looking for people to do any projects relating to Ireland, being Irish , have the colour green in them or a bit of Guinness.

Some of the stuff we will be up to. Designing/building a big LED shamrock. Painting everything green. Trying to catch some leprecons. And anything else we think of after a few Guinness.

So all other hackerspaces, join us and be Irish for a day.

  1. I don’t have anything planned, so instead I’m going to opt for random chance. I’ll be in the space with green fabric paint, green black-light pigment, green thermochromatic paint, glow-in-the-dark pigment (which is pretty much green), and hopefully some green electroluminescent wire. There may even be green glitter (if I can find it…). Will probably bring some wax and pre-made candles for decorating (everything looks better painted with shamrocks). I’m not bragging, all this stuff is for sharing! Come on in, let’s see what we can come up with.

*Note, all the pigments/paints are acrylic based, so can be used on anything acrylic can be. This means prime your MDF beforehand!
