R workshop (repeat)

Once again, the last R workshop turned out to be very popular and Kevin kindly agreed to teach another one! If you missed out on the last one, here’s your chance.

Since its inception, R has become one of the preeminent programs for statistical computing and data analysis. The ready availability of R, along with a wide variety of associated packages, marks it as an excellent choice for a multitude of computing tasks related to statistics and data science.

The workshop will introduce delegates to computing in the R environment; including data objects, basic calculations and using help, then progressing to some of the core features of R: vectorization, subscripting, and the some of the functions in R that are provided for common data management tasks.

As the workshop is intended to complement forthcoming Coursera statistics classes, very little statistical knowledge is expected.

The class will also include a short presentation from a developer who uses R professionally.

When? Saturday, September 29th, from 10:30 till around 15:30 (with breaks!)
Cost: €8 for non-members, free for members
