TOG is pleased to announce that it will be 4 years young this year on the 21st of January. To celebrate this we have decided to have our yearly birthday bash on the 26th of January. This will be a BYOB event and the cake will (maybe) not be a lie!

Our specific plans for the night are as always late to be finalized but as usual we will be open from 9pm, and always stay till late. Typically we play music, have some food and drinks.

Please take this opportunity to join us in celebrating the fact that 4 years ago, most of the members of TOG were strangers, and we now form tight knit community that encourages others to share knowledge and skills.

Hope to see you there ๐Ÿ™‚

CryptoParty in TOG

CryptoParty Logo

TOG is very pleased to announce that we will be holding the 2nd Dublin CryptoParty. Doors will be open from 7pm on Friday the 30th November 2012, and we will stay open as long as people are happy to stay ( within reason ๐Ÿ™‚ ).

The idea of a CryptoParty is to encourage people to use encryption more. They are a set of global get-togethers where more experienced users can teach beginners how to use the commonly available tools that tap into the incredibly powerful technology of cryptography. Last time they discussed encryption types, PGP/GPG and basic security and privacy practices. I would expect something along the same line for this meet. Please check the Dublin CryptoParty Wiki for more details, and of course join their mailing list if you are so inclined.
